about Ramble & Company

OUR STORY

We are a women run shop specializing in hand-printed graphic tees + sweatshirts and other goods. We have a small line of manufactured items from India and California but our main focus is on our fun small batch inspirational pieces. Our goal is for you to feel confident and supported in the words you are wearing. Our company mascot is a good ole’ armadillo and you will likely see designs with an armadillo in many of our everyday scenes (or wanna be scenes because we don’t live near huge sequoia cacti…dangit). Our screen printing shop and store #1 (HQ) is based out of Wichita Falls, Texas (faaaaar north texas, not kansas) and we opened our second location in Waco, Texas (the heart of texas my friends) in October 2022. Walking into our store is like walking into your best friend's home– with a little bit of vintage and quirky flair. We appreciate good use of color, nostalgic pieces, plants, and products that make you not only feel seen but inspired. A signature word around our shop is joy; we want you to have joy, feel joy, and share joy after visiting one of our locations.

Why Wichita Falls?

Ramble & Company owner and founder, Kathryn Hager, was born and raised in the small farming community of Charlie which is about 20 miles outside of Wichita Falls. Kathryn grew up boxing squash, picking peaches, and selling produce her parents grew at the Wichita Falls Farmers Market. It was there she found a passion for entrepreneurship and community. Kathryn began screen printing in 2009 then four years later started selling her printed goods and small batch kids apparel inside the Alley Cat, an amazing local vintage treasure of a store in Wichita Falls. After moving around in college and traveling with her husband, Ryan, she found love and inspiration for intentionally individualistic and creative spaces that brought people together and decided to add her own personal spin by offering a unique selection of hand printed and handmade goods. This inspiration created a path for Kathryn that allowed her to open a storefront in Wichita Falls in January of 2016.

Why Waco?

We get this question a lot. Simple answer, we like Waco. We like the community, the people, the local businesses, the vibe, and the up and coming feel to it.

Our love for Waco started in 2018 when we were accepted to be a vendor at Magnolia Market’s Silobration event. We met so many people who connected with our brand and made lifelong friends with fellow vendors. It’s been a true blessing for our company to be given the opportunity of being a returning vendor at many Magnolia events. Being a part of these events has allowed us to build a relationship with local residents, businesses, and the many travelers that come to see what Waco is all about. Our social media grew significantly and aided in the addition of Ramble shipping worldwide. Shortly after, we started getting emails and DMs asking where our shop was located in Waco, then a lightbulb went off, why don’t we have a store in Waco? In 2021 we started dreaming about what a second location would look like but kept pushing that dream aside. In early 2022 we couldn’t ignore that desire and started the process of looking for a space and that’s when we found the empty, not yet renovated space on 11th. This blank canvas space gave us the opportunity to design the space from the ground up and create Ramble 2.0. We are so happy and grateful to be a part of the Wacotown neighborhood.

WHO WE ARE

We believe that each and every person has deep worth and individuality that is unique to themselves. We believe that when we stand for one another, worlds can change and where true courage exists, insecurity and loneliness cannot survive. Be Brave. Be You.
